Volunteerism is the backbone of We Care of Grundy County. We are always in need of volunteers for our Food Pantry and Clothes Closet. If you are interested in working as a volunteer, please give us a call at 815.942.6389. Other ways that you can help are:

Fill the Pantry-We Care houses the largest food pantry in Grundy County. To meet the need for food, organizations throughout Grundy County sponsor deliveries from a local food bank to fill our pantry and provide a minimum of five volunteers to unload the truck and stock the shelves. Please call our office for current rates and the next available date.

Food and Paper/Personal Care Products-Organize a food drive or paper/personal care products collection. We Care gladly accepts packaged non-perishables for our residents. Other essentials such as toilet paper and personal care products (soap, diapers, toothpaste, deodorant, etc.) are in high demand, too.

Holiday Help-Your family or organization can adopt-a-family in need at Christmas and provide gifts and food for their holiday meal.

Clothing-Donations of quality, gently used clothing are always welcome. Our clothes closet is very busy, and our goal is to provide the very best clothes to our clients that we can. We believe that good quality clothing is important for self-esteem and success.
